Lace lingerie is the largest part of what FemmeBasics makes: lace teddies, underwired lace bras, lace thongs, lace skirts and the lace lingerie sets that bundle them. Black lace lingerie and red lace lingerie are the core colors, with white lace in the bridal styles and midnight, crimson, romance and frost in the set families.

Our stretch lace is 78% nylon and 22% spandex on nearly every FML style, cut in our Colombian workshop so the scalloped edge lands at the leg and neckline without a hem. The Seductive Lace Set uses an 85/15 lace with a 95/5 tulle. Femme X adds a 3-pack of lace thongs, curated by FemmeBasics.

What to look for in lace lingerie

Stretch lace versus rigid lace

Rigid lace needs elastic trims and precise sizing. Stretch lace, which is what we use, moves with you and covers two sizes per garment, which is why so many pieces run S/M and L/XL.

Scalloped edges

The wavy edge of the lace is left as the finished edge on thongs, bras and teddies. No seam, no ridge under clothes.

Matching families

Temptress Trilogy, Lovestruck and Butterfly Bliss are each a bra, a thong or panty and a skirt in the same lace. Buy a piece or the whole set.

Quick answers

Is lace lingerie see-through?

Semi-sheer. Skin shows between the flowers but the garment keeps its shape. For fully transparent pieces see sheer lingerie.

Does lace itch?

Nylon-spandex lace is soft; the itch people remember comes from polyester lace with rigid trims. Ours has neither.

Which color should I start with?

Black if you want it to disappear under clothes, red if you want it noticed. White is the bridal choice.
