Sizing
How do I choose my size in FemmeBasics lingerie?
Measure bust, waist and hip and compare to the size guide. FML styles come in S/M, L/XL and 2XL, or S through 2XL on the set families. Lace stretches, so between sizes choose the smaller one for thongs and bras and the larger one for bodysuits and teddies, where torso length matters.
What is the difference between One Size and One Size Plus?
One Size is a single stretch-fit size intended to fit most bodies. One Size Plus is the roomier cut of the same garment, intended for the 2XL to 3XL range. Only products that list both options offer the choice. Most Femme X swimwear and dancewear is One Size, fitting through stretch and tie sides. Exact measurement ranges for One Size and One Size Plus are still being confirmed; send us your bust and hip and we will tell you which to order.
Shipping
Where do orders ship from?
All orders ship from our warehouse in Miami, Florida. Orders are packed and handed to the carrier on business days.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International orders ship by FedEx from Miami. Duties and import taxes, where they apply, are charged by your country and are not included in the order total.
Returns
Can I return lingerie or swimwear?
Lingerie, swimwear and dancewear are intimate apparel, so hygiene rules limit what can be returned once worn or once the hygiene liner is removed. The current terms, time limits and how to start a return are on our refund policy page. Read it before you order if returns matter to you.
Care
How do I wash lace and mesh lingerie?
Cold water, gentle cycle, inside a mesh laundry bag, then hang or lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry and do not iron. Heat is what breaks down the spandex in lace and mesh and makes them lose stretch.
How do I care for mirror and holographic pieces?
Hand wash in cool water, rinse after chlorine or salt water, and air dry away from direct sun. Never machine wash, tumble dry or iron a mirror finish; the reflective face scratches and peels with heat and friction.
Products
What is the difference between a teddy and a bodysuit?
A teddy is a loose one-piece that joins a camisole top to a short, relaxed bottom. A bodysuit is a fitted one-piece cut like a leotard, usually with a snap or open gusset. Choose a teddy for lounging and lingerie nights, a bodysuit when it needs to stay smooth under clothes.
What is a monokini?
A monokini is a one-piece swimsuit with the sides, midriff or back cut away, so it shows as much skin as a bikini while staying a single garment. Thong monokinis add a thong back. See monokinis.
How much does a micro bikini cover?
A micro bikini top covers the nipple and a small area around it; an extreme micro top is a strip roughly two fingers wide. Bottoms range from a small triangle front with a thong back to a g-string back. Sheer mesh styles are see-through in and out of the water. See micro bikinis.
Where is FemmeBasics lingerie made?
Everything we sell, FemmeBasics (FML) lingerie and Femme X swimwear and dancewear, is cut and sewn in our own factory in Medellín, Colombia, the same factory that has made MaleBasics men's underwear since 2008.
